Yes, I'm aware that I just posted about diets for the New Year and I'm also fully aware that I need to lose (cough, cough) about 100 pounds. But did that stop me from making cheesy turnips? No.

My Roots Are Showing
Yes, I'm aware that I just posted about diets for the New Year and I'm also fully aware that I need to lose (cough, cough) about 100 pounds. But did that stop me from making cheesy turnips? No.
Slim-Fast For A New You In The New Year!
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Slim-Fast for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you are like me, you may have overdone it a little this holiday season. It's so hard to resist all of the goodies that are placed before you. I may or may not have eaten 3/4 of a raspberry pie made by my Dad's neighbor... soooo good! So now, with the new year quickly approaching, you may be regretting the overindulging and wondering what to do about it. I'm sure if you watch television at all, you've heard of Slim-Fast.
I'm really excited because they've launched a brand-new convenient bottle. They are introducing their richest, creamiest, best tasting shakes ever! The new bottle is designed to go anywhere... from your purse, to your desk, to your gym bag. One in four people considering losing weight are doing it for a special occasion, such as a reunion, wedding or vacation. Slim-Fast is making it easier and tastier to wow the crowd you will be a part of.
The new shake has a great new taste! Losing weight shouldn't mean sacrficing flavor. The new Slim-
Fast shakes will not only wow your taste buds, but also provide up to four hours of hunger control and offer ten grams of protein, five grams of fiber and twenty-four essential vitamins and minerals. This will make it easier for you to achieve your weight loss goals.
The new flavors of Slim-Fast shakes are:
* Creamy Milk Chocolate
* French Vanilla
* Rich Chocolate Royale
* Cappuccino Delight
* Strawberries N' Cream
The new Slim-Fast shakes are part of the Slim-Fast 3-2-1 Plan. The plan gives you quick results, when done correctly. I have used Slim-Fast products in the past and had great results with them. Before I married, I used the Slim-Fast plan and exercise to lose fifty pounds. I went from a size 13 to a size 8, so I know it works! The Slim-Fast 3-2-1 Plan includes three snacks, such as the Slim-Fast 100 calorie snack bars, fruit, nuts or vieggies. The Slim-Fast 100 calorie snack bars provide a delicious calorie controlled snack to help curb your cravings for sweets between meals. You should also have two Slim-Fast shakes or meal bars per day. The shakes and meal bars are delicious and satisfying, providing the balanced nutrition of a meal and up to four hours of hunger control. The last part of the 3-2-1 plan is one balanced meal. You should enjoy one balanced meal per day. Try to fill one-half of your plate with veggies, one quarter with protein and one quarter with whole grains.
So now you may be wondering where to find these awesome products... The new Slim-Fast shakes can be found in the pharmacy section of grocery stores and retailers nationwide, including Wal-Mart, Target, Safeway and Kroger. They can also be found online at Amazon.com and the Slim-Fast 3-2-1 Store on Facebook.
I am so excited to try the new Slim-Fast shakes in the new bottles! They will be so convenient when I start my new job. The snack bars will also be easy to slip in my purse for snacks. I'm off now to Like Slim-Fast on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/slimfast. You should too! Slim-Fast

Hoarders Wannabe?
I have officially been in the new house for a little over one month and have yet to be completely organized. My friend mentions his opinion that I'm a hoarder every time he comes over and I still haven't put things away. I deny it vehemently. So I got busy this afternoon. I've been sorting, unpacking, pitching and getting stuff ready for Goodwill. There still may be a problem. This house only has two small closets and one belongs to Lumpkin. I can't throw away or give away my craft stuff... I need it!
This leads to the other items, sentimental things... what do you keep and what do you get rid of? It's tough. I try to tell myself that it doesn't matter and that if it were all gone tomorrow, what would I truly miss? That line of thinking has really been helping me and I've gotten a lot accomplished. I'm seeing more and more of my bedroom floor every hour!

LG DoublePlay Makes A Great Gift!
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LG DoublePlay™ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Christmas is less than one week away! If you're anything like me, you're STILL not done shopping. If you are stuck for ideas, I'd like to suggest The LG DoublePlay. It has so many great features such as dual customizable touch screens. The main display is 3.5 inches and the sub display is 2.0 inches. The displays work independently or together. In addition to the touch screens, it has a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and it has Swype for easy text input. If you are a multi-tasker, you will love that The LG DoublePlay allows users to perform multiple tasks at once. You can update your Facebook page while surfing the web, texting or checking your email.
Since the features are what sell most phones, let me list even more features that this phone offers. For me, it's important that my phone have a camera. You never know when a picture perfect moment is going to happen. The LG DoublePlay has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recorder - making it so easy to take and share your pictures through messaging, email or Facebook. An even more important feature to me is the messaging capability. I text A LOT. Some days over 100 times. That can add up over one month. This device has multiple messaging options. Those options include Cloud Text and Group Text. This gives you the ability to send and receive texts from a PC, tablet or create group chats. The LG DoublePlay also features Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and gives you access to Android Market. The user has the ability to customize with seven home screens and up to nine touch screen shortcuts for one-touch navigation.
So you may be asking yourself, "Where can I find The LG DoublePlay?". The answer is, this phone is sold exclusively at T-Mobile. This phone appeals to me because I use my phone frequently for texting. More so than for email, but I enjoy having that capability. I also like being able to check my Facebook. I'm a little addicted. I think this phone is great because of the multi-tasking capability.
Check out The LG DoublePlay, then come back and leave me your comments. I'm interested in knowing how many hours you spend texting or on Social Networks using your phone and how your think the LG DoublePlay might change the way you do these things.

Brief Hiatus
(Will the unpacking never end???)
Gypsy that I am, I've moved again! I'm still in the process of unpacking. I have a couple of posts in mind, but there has been a delay with the cable/internet being installed due to the asbestos in the shingles covering our rental home... sounds healthy, huh? I just popped in to the library to take a short break from the feverish crafting I've been doing all day. I found out about a show this weekend and I'm working like crazy to have enough items to take with me for sale. Wish me luck! Hopefully, I can check back in with you this weekend with an update! Have a great rest of the week friends!!!!!

Not Mechanically Inclined
I've run out of extra cash in getting my new business ready. Can't spend any more until I make some... BUT, speaking of butts, I had to have a comfy chair since I'm here at the laundromat for hours on end.
I was so excited, the chair that I like, which just happens to be red, was on sale at Staples! Not only that, when I got to the register, it was an additional 25% off on clearance!!! Yay me!!!
Here's where the dilemma ensues... I have never been much of a handy-man (woman). The chair was not the display model, but a lovely, brand-new chair, in pieces, in a box! I brought the box into the laundromat this morning and looked at it for a couple of hours until I decided that wasn't going to get my butt in it. Approximately 30 minutes later, Voila'!!! (a personal peeve of mine... learn to spell that word, fellow bloggers!) My new chair is in one piece and I'm sitting in it!
Now, do I need LOTS more color in this newly-painted office? YES, I DO!!!
