Turning Lemons Into Lemonade
A couple of weeks ago, I was running late while getting ready for church. I wanted to wear my new sweater and under it, the beautiful, vibrant purple, cap-sleeved blouse that I had worn one time. I turned the iron on, just to take out a couple of pesky wrinkles, and when I put the iron to the shirt... yes, that's right, it burnt an ugly hole in the front of the shirt. (Did I mention I'd worn it ONE time?)
So, what's a girl to do? I threw it away, then it hit me! Pull that shirt out of the trash now! You can use it for crafts!!! So I pulled it out and thought about what I might do. Immediately I thought of the plain, silver headband that Lumpkin wears. I wasn't sure if she would be willing to part with it in order for me to beautify it, but she was convinced when I showed her the beautiful flower below.
(My model was on a date, so I stuck it on my head. Too soon, I might add, as I had to cut the super glue out of my hair...)
I gotta get a new camera. I had a heck of a time trying to show the true color. Didn't happen. I guess we know what Mama's buying with her tax check this year!!!
