Add A Burst Of Flavor!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ever since I was a child, I remember having TABASCO® Original Red refrigerator. My Dad was and is a huge fan. I've used in it chili, on pizza and I've seen family members try it on eggs. I think the most unusual thing I've had it on is a bologna sandwich! It's also great on hot wings and anything you want to add a little spice to!

With the Super Bowl coming up, TABASCO is a must have for your Super Bowl parties. Add a dash to your favorite dips and appetizers. Pizza is also livened up with TABASCO. It will add a whole new dimension to your favorite pizza flavors. Be sure to check out the Game Day party menu page on their website for some easy food ideas and recipes for food everyone will love!

TABASCO® Original Red is more than just a hot spice. TABASCO® Original Red releases the flavor of food and enhances the good taste it already has so you can get the best of every bite.

Pizza Perfected

Here is another interesting tidbit...

  • Original Red was the first sauce presented by the McIlhenny family in 1868. Out of the six sauces, it remains the favorite.
  • Did you know that the sauce is made from salt, red pepper and vinegar? The amazing part is that it is then brought to perfection through a three year aging process. Pretty cool, huh?

There's still time to shop before all of your Super Bowl festivities! Be sure to run out and pick up TABASCO today!

Update: Delay Of Grand Opening

Although I planned on announcing the grand opening of my etsy store, things (no, I wasn't on the phone) got in the way. But, the good news is that it's still in the works and I'm working on a few more items to get it started.

P.S. Be sure to enlarge the pic above to read the ad... I would never have made it as a woman of yesteryear!

Say Hello To Rachel

Say Hello to my good friend Rachel. She is a fellow nurse, former co-worker, a friend, and truly a lovely person.
I don't think Rachel knows this, but she is actually the person that introduced me to the blogging world. (and I am forever grateful!) She has an awesome blog... Rachel vs. The Kitchen...
and I'd love for you to check it out! She features yummy dishes like this one below - Crunchy Garlic Chicken.

She also offers other delicious recipes. Rachel gives you an honest opinion of the recipe, including whether or not her picky hubby likes it! ;)
Please stop by her blog and let her know I sent you. Happy cooking, my bloggy friends!

Lost My Mojo

I've lost my MoJo and can't seem to find it. I've been unemployed for two months and I never dreamed it would be taking this long to find a new job. Don't get me wrong, I could get a job, but it would mean nights, weekends and other undesirable things. I have a 16 year old daughter. She is very trustworthy and has a good head on her shoulders, but I NEED to be home for her. She will only be in my care and under my roof for a couple more years and I don't want to miss any more than I already have! The stress from no job is affecting my craft MoJo. I can't seem to find the creative me lately. What do you do when you're stuck creatively?

Craving

Ever have a huge craving? One that you just can't make go away? Well, I did today. So I drive to the local cafe' only to be told... "SORRY, we only have vanilla ice cream right now".
:( So I had an anemic (supposedly chocolate) shake. Somehow, it just didn't hit the spot.

The object of my affection - the TWIST cone.

A Little Window Shopping and Unexpected Bargains!

I decided to visit my local TJ Maxx on a whim yesterday. Didn't really have money to spend, but I pick up a few bargains once in a while.

Rarely do I make it past the clothing section, but since I had some time to kill, I wandered to the back of our small store, through the bedding and linens, and into the home decor section. Much to my surprise, tucked away between items that I had no interest in, I found Martha!

These aren't the exact punches I found, but my excitement over the finds was overwhelming! $3 and $4 for name brand quality paper punches! I also picked up some ribbon and scrapbook paper.

I also found a santos-style metal dress form for $3. Perfect for my Just Jewelry display. Score! All in all, a happy, thrifty day for me.

Where are some of your favorite bargain deals found? (Besides Goodwill)

SOAR

This took entirely too much longer than it should have, but here it is. My finished (first) stamping project. I realize every time I sit down to create that I need about a million more items to keep on hand.

The Challenge stated that you could increase/decrease the size of the template as you desire, and in hindsight, I wish I'd increased the size, due to the size of the basket being so tiny. It was hard to make too much of a statement with the tiny space provided.

(Kind of hard to see, but it's a birdcage)

Am I buying a suitable camera at tax time? Yes I am!!!!!

Buttons, fabric, cardstock, scrapbook paper, pearls and ribbon.

Butterflies!

(And I HAVE to have a flower!)
My personality makes me want to pick it apart, (thanks Mom) but, overall, given my limited craft supplies, I'm happy with it!

Inspiration

I bought the newest issue of Stampers' Sampler. It was the first time I've purchased it. I swear! I could buy every Stampington publication and never leave my chair. They have amazing artists and I so enjoy their work. Turns out, they put a template in each issue and challenge their readers to come up with creations to submit. Guess what I'm going to be doing the next couple of days? It has a deadline of January 15th, so time is a wasting!!!

Handcrafted also offers the work of amazing artists.

I do LOVE ME SOME APRONS!!!

The cover project was not my favorite in this issue, but it had some really cool ideas inside.

And my most favorite of all. The magazine that began the love affair for me... Where Women Create. I salivate over each issue I get my hands on, and cry tears of sadness when I miss the newest issue. I dream of being one of those women with an amazing studio and the ability to create full time. If you're not currently reading any of these, pick one up! I know you'll love them too! If you can't find one at your favorite Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's, you can visit the Stampington website. They also offer lots of cool craft supplies. You'll thank me!

Happy New Year!

We're beginning the New Year in beautiful Gatlinburg, TN. Lumpkin's church youth group attends Winter Extreme. There are speakers and bands performing and the kids have a great time. I love spending time with my daughter, but loud music is beginning to be TOO loud. I guess that's a sign of my advancing age... ;)

(I hate having my pic taken, but it made my baby happy.)

(Lindsay and Alison - having a blast)

(Skillet - this band was awesome!)

LIVESAVERS!!!! I was so happy to have earplugs.

Tonight we'll be headed downtown again to the Convention Center to Winter Extreme.

Happy New Year to all my blog friends!
